GlowDesk ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use GlowDesk, our client management and booking platform for lash and nail technicians, available at glowdesk.org.
By using GlowDesk you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Information we collect
Information you provide directly:
- Your name and email address when you create an account
- Your business name and logo
- Client names, contact information, appointment history, and service notes you enter into the app
- Intake form and consultation data you collect from your clients
- Payment information processed securely through Stripe
Information collected automatically:
- Log data including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited
- Device information
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies used to keep you logged in and improve app performance
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain GlowDesk
- Process your subscription payments through Stripe
- Send you appointment reminders and automated emails on your behalf
- Send you account-related notifications including trial expiration and billing updates
- Respond to your support requests
- Improve and develop new features
How we store and protect your data
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade encryption at rest and in transit. We implement row-level security so your data is completely isolated from other users — no other GlowDesk user can access your clients or business information.
We do not sell your data. Ever.
Your clients' data
As a GlowDesk user you are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from your clients before entering their personal information into the app. We process your clients' data solely on your behalf and only to provide the GlowDesk service to you.
Payment information
All payment processing is handled by Stripe. GlowDesk does not store your credit card number or full payment details. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription your data is retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted. You may request immediate deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@glowdesk.org.
Third party services
GlowDesk uses the following third party services to operate:
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
- Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
- Resend — email delivery
These services have their own privacy policies and we encourage you to review them.
Cookies
GlowDesk uses essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Children's privacy
GlowDesk is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by email or through a notice in the app. Your continued use of GlowDesk after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
